The C and D Teams both hit the Fond du Lac Lady Lightning annual tournament this past weekend. It was the C Team's first tournament of the season and the D Team's first tournament ever!

The C Team battled its way to second place overall in the blue division. With an initial game that was a wrenching 6-0 loss, they recovered in time to make it to the championship game. Their second game was an astounding 7-1 win, and their third game was a nail-bitingly close 2-1 win in overtime.

Their final game was a 4-1 loss against the Fond du Lac Bolts, who originally beat them 6-0. By contrast to their first efforts, the second game was a hard fought affair, and their opponents were not assured a victory until the final buzzer sounded.

The D Team had a great time, despite three losses in which they were scoreless. They may not have scored any points, but they strove valiantly through all three games and gained the respect of their opponents for never giving up.

They enjoyed their first tournament and are eagerly awaiting the next one, wherever and whenever it may be.
