November 14, 2010 Highlander Pond Hockey Classic

Calling ALL Women – you are invited to participate in the Highlander Classic.

This is an Outdoor Hockey Tournament. January 7, 8 & 9, 2011 at Missing links Golf Course in Mequon WI. Hosted by Homestead Hockey. In the beginning, hockey was played on frozen lakes, ponds and streams. Kids played after school, adults on weekends and the sport evolved to the modern well lighted temperature control playing surfaces we know call ice rinks. For all players, the outdoors seems to call you out to play the game in its most rugged environment, where ice conditions are controlled by a greater force....Mother Nature. This pond hockey tournament is a non-for-profit event to help offset costs for the Homestead High School hockey program. Fees to participate in the WIAA sanctioned team come from the players and their families.

The Highlander Classic is looking for teams in the Women's Combined division. Women's is comprised primarily of B & C adult hockey league level players 18 years of age and older (as of 1/7/11). These players also may have played varsity high school and some college experience. All players welcome.

Don't miss out on the fun!!!!
