2011 Summer league is here!
Metro Summer League is designed for skaters of all skill levels to play. This can only be accomplished if all levels of skaters, from beginner through advanced to work together. The more advanced skaters are encouraged to set up plays and work with those that are in the learning stages of the game. We all have weaknesses to work on, even the more advanced skaters. This is the time to work on these things.
What:
Women's Summer league 8 game season (75 minute ice slots)
Where:
Pettit National Ice Center
When:
Thursday's May 19 thru July 7. Game start times 7pm and 8:30pm
Who:
All Girls/Women ages 16+
What it is all About:
Summer is a time for just having fun with the game. We will divide all teams into equal skill levels with beginner to advanced skaters on each team. We ask that the stronger skaters play hard against the ones of their skill level and allow some time for the newer skaters to skate with the puck. This is not about who can score the most goals but for all to improve in all areas while having fun!
Cost:
Skater $110
Goalie $50
Other Information:
The length of ice has been extended to 75 minutes per game allowing for more playing time.
We will run 4 teams this year with a max of 13 skaters per team.
Deadline:
May 1, 2011 for registering. If after this date e-mail Sue Mishler suemishler@yaoo.com for availability.
We will stop taking applications when the teams fill up so get your reg. form and payment in early.
Teams:
Teams will be finalized by Sunday May 8th.
You will receive an e-mail on May 8th as to your team, jersey color and schedule.
Jerseys:
To keep costs down we will be using our own jerseys, each team will be a different color.
