With all the enthusiasm from new players coming into the organization, we believe we will have 3 teams for fall/winter and are excited to announce our tryout dates!!!! All are welcome to try out for the team you would prefer to play on, but you may be placed on a different one based on skills of all players attending.
This year we will have tryouts for the Brew City BladesB, C and new this year, a Novice (green Division). For those trying out for the C team there are two times set. You may attend either one but only one is necessary. Goalies will need to try out as well. Please attend the session you are trying out for. We may have a primary and a back up goalie per division depending on interest. All tryouts will be taking place at the Pettit National Ice Center.

Wednesday August 19, 2009 – 6:30-7:45pm East Rink
If you are trying out for the B or C team your date/time is:
Wednesday August 19, 2009 – 8:45-10:00pm West Rink
Bring a light and dark (preferably a black and a white) jersey, sign in, hand in your USA hockey registration form. The tryout fee is $5.00. Everyone will receive a number to pin on to the back of your jersey. (We will provide the pins.) Please allow enough time to do this and to dress. Tryouts will start and end on time. Impartial volunteers will be the ones to give us feedback on your skill level. Final rosters will be made available to you on August 28th.
If you are new to the organization here is a bit of information about the teams.
We belong to the WCHL (Women's Central Hockey League) Each team will consist of no more that 15 skaters and two goalies.
Each team will have 1 coach. Assistant coaches may be added as interested volunteers wish to help out. The season runs October through mid March. Here is the WCHL website if you would like to check it out: www.eteamz.com/wchlonline/index.cfm
Jerseys for the new skaters require a $90 (this was last years price, may go up a bit) deposit (refunded at end of season) and purchase of socks for approx $15. Each team will have 14 shared practices throughout the season starting on Sept. 30 and ending March 3. They will be on Wed. evenings at Pettit with the average start time at 6pm. They are 1 hour long. Your team will have 2 weeks on, 1 week off.
Games will be on Saturday and/or Sunday each week for a total of 20 games (10 home-10 away) per season. Our home rink is Pettit National Ice Center but we may have a few ice times at Eble Ice Arena. Game times are generally between 10am and 7pm, with a few variations. We generally travel to Madison, Appleton, Fond Du Lac, Sun Prairie. We will not schedule games over the Holiday weekends. The schedule meeting is not until mid September so we will not have the final game schedule until then.
Cost: skater fee will be Approx. $400 which will include all practice and game ice and two to three tournaments.. (This is a ball park figure from previous years, but we expect it to be close) The goalie fee will be half the skater fee. Additional fees will be your jersey deposit, sock purchase and USA hockey registration.
